Michele Martin grew up wanting to become a veterinarian. A fear of needles, blood and most thing slimy changed that early on however she never lost her passion for animals. Particularly dogs. Her family raised hounds in NY state and in the last 3+ decades she has shared her life with nearly 2 dozen dogs including those of her youth and of her adult years. She feeds her dog a home-made diet but is realistic that it is not the way for everyone. She is an avid animal lover and animal health advocate who believes that the average urban dog is bored and under exercised... just like the average urban human. She has appeared on local radio and in national periodicals talking about everything from nutrition and fitness to loss and mourning. She feels blessed to be able to spend her days with dogs.
Leah Birch Postman has been a practicing veterinarian for almost 20 years. She has pursued additional training in herbalism, and acupuncture and she strongly believes that good food is the foundation of animal health and nourishment. Her goal is to help people to make their way through the confusion of the industry hype & alternative counter hype in order to make informed and healthful choices that are realistic to their own resources.
She has had remarkable success in treating allergies, certain types of cancers, behavioral challenges and other ailments through nutrition and complementary care such as acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
